Ever since I bought a horse (OMG HORSE!) I'm a weather forecast addict. See, my horse is outside all day long, and since there is no place for him to hide when it rains, he gets a little rain blanket when it is cold and rainy. And when it is even colder and rainy, he gets a little rain blanket with a bit of fill, which is brown and he looks adorable in it. But if it doesn't rain, or if it gets warmer, he doesn't get a blanket, because it's not supposed to be against the cold, just against the rain.

We all use math every day: to forecast weather... (in which I actually talk about the weather) )

In other news: I'm having serious issues with Numb3rs this season (in which I talk about the current season of Numb3rs) )

So I have issues with Numb3rs, this season. I'll probably keep watching anyway, since there's nothing better on on Friday evenings and I'm down to five shows a week anyway, three of them running on Sundays.

Enough for now. I'll quickly check the weather and then it's off to bed!

I have an amazing number of unanswered comments in my inbox. This
isn't - as one is tempted to think - because I have received so many
comments recently. Far from it. It's just that I haven't answered any
in the last, oh, two months or so, ever since I got the OMG!HORSE!
(sorry, I just can't help myself).

Sorry about that.

I think it explains why nobody comments anymore, though.

I would promise to answer them this weekend, but I'm still hesitating
with myself if I should go to a party (which involves leaving the
house. And the city.) or not. If not, I might answer comments. It'll
be all exciting, the last ones are from somewhen in June. Heh.

In the meantime, if you are urgently waiting for an answer to anything
(whatever could eb so important?), please do not hesitate to comment.
It'll give me even more to do in case I stay at home.

Which is rather likely, what with parties being these grisly, loud
events with lots of strangers, smoking, drinking, making out with each
other in dark corners...
oookay, party it is!

(oh, I wish it were that kind of party, but they seem to have
disappeared with my teenage years...)

After a week in fabulous southern France, I am back in the office! Yay!
Not.

So here's what's going on in short:

- the fridge is broken. Because that's exactly what you need when you
come back from vacation

- work is crazy (what else is new)

- OMG HORSE! (*BG*)

- OMG NCIS PREMIERE! I am terribly afraid. I mean, I've trusted the
show through every single stupid "someone's going to die", but this
time they went a bit far, didn't they?
*chews fingernails until premiere*

- haven't smoked in five weeks!
*chews more fingernails*

- actually, I've never chewed fingernails

- OMG SUPERNATURAL PREMIERE!!! I can't wait to see them again! *is excited*

I think that's it. Back to work!

When I'm not spending time with the horse (OMG HORSE!!!), I watch Due South. Oh, the Ray love! I just want to jump him sometimes. I'm talking about Ray V., since I just started (and it's been years since I last watched DS, it's so good to see it again). I want to jump Ray K., too, but Fraser was there before me. Damn it.

How's everyone else doing? Anything worth knowing going on, or are you all too caught up in summer and politics to be fannish?
Important changes in my life will cause me to stay away from fannish things even more than I am right now. Though, these last weeks, I feel like I've actually spent quite a lot of time here and I intend to keep that up. I just need to focus my fannish energies. In order to make more room for my life, I've stopped buying books (but I'm trying) cut down my TV watching schedule.

Here's what remains:

The Unit (SO EXCITED! YAY UNIT! BOB!)
NCIS (duh!)
Supernatural (what did you think?)
Numb3rs (so much love. I just wish they'd give an advance warning for the obligatory three boring eps every season)
Bones (OMG the Bones!love!)
Brothers&Sisters
CSI (for now, I may have to cut CSI later, but I feel rather loyal towards it. I've never missed an episode.)
Desperate Housewives (for now. I'm not at all fannish about the show, but I like watching it, and I think I will miss the people if I stop)
Doctor Who (which won't come back forever)
Eureka (very likely going to be cut later this year)
Torchwood (for now, will likely be cut due to exceedingly bad acting by John Barrowman and no more Tosh love)

I will only be adding one new show this fall season, Leverage, and it's only because there is always time for a dosis of Christian Kane on my screen. Except, if the how doesn't get better, I'd rather look at pictures or rewatch Angel.

It still looks like a lot, but with Torchwood and Doctor Who not coming back for a long time, it really isn't. Significant cuts were House, SGA and Burn Notice. Don't get me wrong, I love House, but I'm not interested enough in the actual content of the show to keep watching with the limited time that I now have. I'm actually trying to cut down to just NCIS, Numb3rs, Supernatural, Bones and The Unit, which would still give me almost one show every day that I don't have time for. DW would stay as an extra, as it is shown when the others are on hiatus anyway. However, I cannot really imagine living without Brothers&Sisters. We'll see how it works.

Most likely I will also be doing a massive flist cut. I haven't decided on anything yet, but if you always wanted to get rid of me but just felt that you couldn't unfriend me for some reason (why that would be escapes me), now would be a good time. I might still keep you friended though, because if I have friended you now, it's very likely that you are interesting and that I don't want to get rid of you. Which is the real problem - I don't want to unfriend anyone right now. I love my flist. But ti's too big, so it's either unfriending or rigorous filtering. I'll figure that out if I ever have the time.

It's kind of sad how reorganizing my real life means cutting down my tv watching. I guess that means that it was long overdue.

To those of you who were wondering: I did it.

It's Saturday night, I'm at my parents' place, very much not going out. Instead I interneted all evening, reading lj, reading [livejournal.com profile] astolat's fabulous "Old Country" (http://intimations.org/fanfic/supernatural/Old%20Country.html), a Supernatural/Harry Potter crossover, which you people totally failed to inform me about.
*glares*
Okay, so I wasn't around.
And I don't usually do Wincest.
You are forgiven.

I saw "my" horse (love of my life) again today for the first time on what feels like forever, but was really only six week. It made me happy and sad, because I want him so much, but work just doesn't allow it. Maybe in a year or so. We'll see how things develop.

I read through some magazines and now have plans for room number three. I have moved into the apartment almost six months ago and I still have not finished any of the rooms of hung up any pictures. And here I'm wondering why I'm not in a relationship when I cannot even commit to a dinner table.
*sigh*
Unsurprisingly, my plans do not involve a dinner table, but they do include a desk, a guest bed and more bookshelves. For I have way too many books and dvds, so I need a new book shelf. Now I just need guests.

Wait, I have guests! Two more weeks and [livejournal.com profile] margueritem will be there, squeeee!
