I'm spending the night at the office (cause i've only been here for 11 hours today, so what's another 5 or 6?). Work's so crazy these days that I don't even know where to start. Even if I stay until midnight I'll only get half the things done that I need to get done.
*whines*

So again, please entertain me?

I take every little bit of distraction from my misery. No fic, please, as it will distract me for too long, which means I'll never leave the office, but comments, questions, PICTURES OF HOT MEN (in comments) would make me very very happy.

Today I shall talk about The Unit some more. Since, you know, nobody else is doing it.
*glares*

I love The Unit. I am completely in love with the show. Yes, in Season 2 I found myself fastforwarding through some of the housewives stories, but I wouldn't want to live without them. See, what I like so much about The Unit is that I love every single character.

And I feel compelled to tell you more about my love for The Unit, with pictures (lots of them, you've been warned), behind a cut. Also, spoilers for season 3. )

So, that is The Unit.
Which I love. The whole show and all of its characters.

Oh, and before I forget:
Sometimes they undress and huddle up naked.

Cut for possible nsfw-ness )

Just saying...

P.S.: If you are Unit fan, why don't you come and say hello? Or wave, or do something to let me know that I'm not alone in this world? ([livejournal.com profile] iamsab, [livejournal.com profile] jenab and me, that is. So, not totally alone. But there must be more of you! Surrender!)

While a part of fandom is having the time of their lives at Vividcon, the rest of LJ seems somehow quiet and there are still aftershocks of the boldthrough drama going around.

So I thought we could all need some cheering up, and present you
Most Magnificent Moose Cuteness (more over here)

And when you are done awweeee-ing, go and read what is still one of the funniest SG-stories ever: Salieri's "Elvis has Left the Building"

And if you still need something to do after that, find the moose in this picture: )

There is one, really. I took the picture myself and I know there was one then. Of course, it could have disappeared. With moose, you never know.

Remember a while back, when I was contemplating giving up Supernatural, because it really isn't a good show and so obviously written for a teenage girl audience that it makes my eyes bleed sometimes, and not in the good, demonic way either? Remember?

Cause I don't.

Me, having doubts about Supernatural? Never happened. Okay, I don't think I'll ever be ready to watch the first three or four eps again, but the rest, oh, the rest is so pretty and shiny, and who cares about teenage girl chliche's anyway. I just turn down the volume when the dialogues get to bad.

This change of mind (change? what change? there NEVER were any doubts, didn't I just say that?!) wasn't brought on by a specific ep, though I did enjoy Croathon or whatever it was called enough. No, I think it's my brain that needed a little time to remember why I watch SPN in the first place after the break between season 1 and 2. Now it's all back, all about the shiny, Jensen (nothing new there) and Jared in cowboy hats. It won't ever be ready for the incest fic, but RPS? Bring it on, babes.

So, anyone have RPS recs for me? I don't care if there is sex, I've been reading slash long enough to know what a gay sex scene looks like. What I'm looking for is plot, characterization and drama. Amazing, how I can be around fandom for so long that I'm tired of sex scenes but am still naive enough to ask for these things in RPS.

Also, pics. If you feel like spamming me with SPN picspam, you'd make me very happy. Just pretend that I still (still. why still? There NEVER WERE doubts!) have doubts about the show and you have to convince me of the hotness. If you even need an excuse to post SPN picspam.

Thanks!

Remembers her manners and posts some picspam first. )

And a RPS rec. With drunk Jensen, cold Canada, UST and kisses, OMG kisses in the cold that just kill me. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] audrarose, I think you've read my mind before it was even thinking about RPS.

Here's something for you to think about on this beautiful Sunday:

Remember season 8 of Stargate? Remember the episode "Covenant", the one where Sam sleeps with Mr. Sheffield from "The Nanny" and Thor tries a career in reality TV?

Remember the scene where General Jack in his dress blues and a scantily cald Daniel (he was only wearing a shirt! Compared to Jack that was nothing!), are sitting in Jack's office, chatting with Thor?

This scene? )

Well, I just watched "The Director Series - Covenant" on my season 8 DVDs, and I can now tell you that the pants they gave RDA were too small, so he couldn't close them. Which means that Jack is sitting there with open pants.

Jack. In his office. With Daniel. With open pants.

There, that should give you something to do today. Enjoy your Sunday!

I'm almost through my second viewing of Stargate Season 9, and I must admit that I find it a lot more entertaining on the second run. I still think that the threepart season opener could have been told in one, maybe 1,45 episodes, and that there is no excuse for making us watch all this without at least giving us some naked Vala or Cameron, but the rest of the episodes were quite enjoyable.

I couldn't remember having watched "Off The Grid" (the leather porn one) and "The Scrouge" (the one that isn't called Prodigy despite the similarities) before, which shows that I'm a bad fan and haven't paid enough attention to my show. Obviously I have watched them before, but I must have been doing other things while I watched them. I swear that this will not happen again.

Anyway, there is an actual reason for this post. It's a scene from "Arthur's Mantle" with what has got to be the cutest Daniel face in the whole season, if not more. It's the look he gives General Landry when Sam points out that it was Daniel who figured out the device. Trust me, saying cute and Daniel in one sentence doesn't come easy to me, since I don't usually call grown up men with muscles and weapons "cute". But there is no other word for this: )

Look at him! Isn't he just...cute? Don't you want to hug him and pet him and then hand him over to Jack for some more hugging and petting and licking?

I know I want to. And I know I'm so looking forward to season 10. Season 10! Why isn't it Friday already?

ETA: Okay, I lied, he may be even cuter when he checks out Cameron' ass in "Crusade", but then, that's not really him, so it doesn't count.
Steter Tropfen höhlt den Stein.

And yet more testosterone crazy men shooting with live ammo. (Now with slash! And screencaps! You cannot escape the pretty!). )

More screencaps, mostly from the same scenes, here. Feel free to use the screencaps, but please let me know if you make pretty things with them. *coughbobiconscough*

P.S.: Does anyone know where I could find a Bob icon, preferably one that shows off his eyes?
Today I learned that in Canada there is such a thing as a Moose License. That's what the paper called it.

I don't know what it is, but I want one. I imagine it'll allow you to bring your moose on a leash to restaurants and other public places, and - should I ever acquire a domesticated moose - that's what I'd want to do.

Unless it is a chain-smoking moose, of course, because of the "no smoking in public places" law that'll be starting in May. Chain-smoking mooshees have to stay at home, leash or no leash.

In other news, we went to Parc Omega this weekend, where you can feed Wapiti and other exciting canadian animals with carots while they lick and lovingly pet your (thank god rental) car. I enjoyed it very much. They also have bears and wolves and mounties. They won't let you feed those, but you can see them.

The same cannot be said about the moose, who were playing "Whose the best at imitating rocks" that day. Only treacherous flies and moving "(big! furry!) moose ears gave them away.

There's a moose somewhere in this picture... )
Today I walked out of the house and my iPod didn't work. It took me almost three minutes and a near heart attack from the resulting panic to figure out that I forgot to put the earplugs in. Clearly I should not be left unattended.

That said, here's my Valentine's flowers to my flist (sorry, [livejournal.com profile] bria_ferguson, but you are not allergic to pictures, right? *g*)

Flower Love )
*runs to computer*

Sorry, no time to read or post or comment anywhere. There is so much going on here that I am hardly ever inside the house. I haven't even had time to watch Stargate yet. Last week's stargate. That's how much time I don't have.

So let me just tell you quickly that I went to the biodome yesterday and met John and Rodney.

I trust it you've all seen Wallace and Gromit & The Curse of the Were-Rabbit?

This is what my brain looks like at the moment: )

My brain, obviously, is the glass cylinder, and it is full of plot-bunnies. Plot-bunnies flying around, munchin carrots, waving at me in all their innocent bunnyness. Just when I really don't need them.

"There are strippers." Tony argued, still trying to block the door.
"Good." Gibbs said and went inside.

It's Robert Patrick. Do I really need an excuse for spamming you with pics of his sexiness? )

And there is more:

Because [livejournal.com profile] barkley asked, I talk about Don.

And Charlie. What a surprise.*g* )

Sure, I like Numb3rs, I know that, but just now, right this moment, when Don gave Charlie that smile and looked at him like that, I have fallen in love with the show. Really, I can tell. My heart did that little leap it does when it falls in love.
Uh oh, I wonder where this will lead me.

And if no one wants to talk Numb3rs with me, will you at least point me to a community where I could advertise my posts? It seems as if I have to turn to strangers to share my fannish love.
*sniff*

More screencaps from this ep are here.
I just remembered that I know how to make screencaps.

I finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Pandora's Clock. After having seen RDA in "In the Eyes of a Stranger", I feared for the worst, but Pandora's Clock isn't actually bad.

Then again, how could it be? It has Richard Dean Anderson, wearing a Captain's uniform and shades (at least outside), flying a huge plane, giving orders (*melts*), saving lives and saying "This is the Captain speaking" and "Roger that" a lot. Needless to say, I loved it.

Plot? Oh, who cares. Take a look at the pretty pictures instead. )
I still don't have an A-Team icon, so I have to abuse the wonderful handporn. I don't think MacGyver would approve. Well, he can punish me later....

A Short Lesson in Hannibal/Face Slash (dial-uppers beware, lots of pics) )

Now, who's going to write me a story about the time when Teal'c and BA became neighbours?

( Oct. 21st, 2005 06:48 pm)
I don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm introducing my mom to the West Wing. Turns out that she is a Josh/Donna shipper. Yesterday we watched the episode where Donna goes on the blind date with that Republican (season 3), and my mom was all confused:

"I thought she loves Josh? How can she do on a date with that guy?"
She also wants to fire Toby at least once each ep ("I'd have thrown him out already.")

She calls Sam cute, but at least she doesn't make any more explicit comments. I sure remember the time she admitted that she wouldn't throw Robert Downey Jr. out of her bed when we watched Ally McBeal, I sitll have nightmares from that.

But I'm having so much fun! Plus, I get to rewatch all of West Wing. Did I mention that I love Ainsley? Oh, this is such a brilliant show! I felt kind of Blah about most of season 6, but I love season 7 so far, even though they are really trying to make us believe that Santos is a gift from god with his holier than thou attitude. But he'd got charisma, so I like it. And I like how excited Josh is about the whole thing. It's definitely the TV highlight of the week (right behind NCIS, of course).

As for who will win the election, I don't know. Things are bound to change when the public finds out that he had an affair with a Miami cop once...not spoilery, I promise )
And now, the post you've all been waiting for: the answers to the A-Team Quiz!

We left our Heros In Africa... )

That's it for this week's A-Team quiz. I hope you had fun. Stick around for more Hannibal/Face love and shooting breads: all this and more, coming soon on [livejournal.com profile] oceana_.

P.S.: Does anyone know where I could find an A-Team icon?
