SQUEEEE!!!
Okay, anyone who doesn't love McKay, hands up. No one? Yeah, that's what I thought. ;-)
The yada-yada movement he made with his hands when Rainbow (hey, I almost called him Ford! We are making progress!) started telling his story to Weir.
Weir.
I want to call her Elizabeth. But that seems so familiar, and I'm not familiar with her yet, but I want to be. I think I have a little crush on her. McKay calls her Elizabeth! I just loved that, and she calls him Rodney, and I love that show so much already. *bounces*
Oh, and Weir? All I can say is: I told you so.
Also, Weir and Sheppard have more chemistry through an entire event horizon than Teyla and Sheppard have when she is sitting right next to him playing nurse. Teyla, what's up with her anyway. I thought she was going to be some sort of superwomen and we'd all have to hate her for being so much more perfect than any sane person could ever be, and now? Last time she played Mother Theresa for all those kids, this time she is Florence Nightingale? I am too bored to hate her.
Let's see, what else was there. Oh yes, we got treated to Sheppard first death and his naked chest. I'm not sure of Atlantis should strive to let its characters die as often as Stargate did, but more nakedness can't do any harm. Beckett got tempted and pressed his ear to John's chest instead of using the stethoscope. I can hear the conversation with McKay already:
"I was trying to save the man's life!"
"You were just looking for an excuse to press your face to his chest!"
I love McKay/Beckett, but somehow they don't seem like the type to have hot make-up sex after a fight. That will change of course, once Weir stops sleeping with Sheppard, because she found out that it undermines her authority, and Sheppard starts using McKay as a substitute, which will leave both Beckett and McKay hurting in the end, so there will be lots of angsty godness. And sex.
I'm sure that there were other interesting things, but I can't think of them right now. Just one thing at the end:
This Dr. Kevenow (?), the one with the greasy long hair and the glasses. Needs to die a long, slow and violent death. Preferably sometime between now and the next ep, so I don't have to ever see him again. *shudder*
I'll write about Zero Hour later, and I'll also try to collect other people's posts in the memories again. I didn't have much time for my flist the last days, a good friend of mine was here and we went out a lot, but I don't have to work on Monday and Tuesday, so I'll try to catch up then.
