I'm trying to think of a good way to use my Vox account (there are still invitations to be had, if you need one) and have several things in mind. What keeps me from doing anything with it is the lack of comment threads.

What do I do if someone replies to my posts? There is no way to reply to their comment and I feel somehow bad about that. I know some of you have had "real" blogs before they were on lj, so maybe you can give me an idea if what the netiquette on this is. Is it an lj thing to expect an answer, to have online conversations via comments? So far, I have mostly ignored comments in my Vox. I read them, I like them, but I don't answer. And sure, I often comment here on lj without expecting an answer, it just feels weird to make a post and know that you can't directly reply to what people are saying.

Also, my Stargate Season 8 DVDs arrived this morning when I was wearing nothing but a towel. I'm sure this is a sign, but I can't figure out what it wants to tell me. To watch Stargate naked, maybe?

All these questions, and no answer in sight. I think I will have to eat something.

Vox

( Jul. 21st, 2006 03:38 pm)
Since I didn't mention it here before, I can be found on Vox as Oceana. Yes, I know Vox is evil and everything, and it really does suck (actually, I have no idea how it works and it is too bright and colorful for me to find out). Anyway. I wanted to lay claim on my username.

I also have four invites. First come, first served. Just comment with the email address that you want to use with your shiny new Vox account.

Shiny, yes, and bouncy and bright. Re: the invites, Vox tells me for example this "With an invite, your invitee will be able to do all the things you can do!" and you can practically see how Six Apart wants me to be shiny and bouncy when I read this, cause "Exclamation mark" and "All the things I can do!!!" 11!!1!"

Of course, us teenagers here on LJ don't have the energy to be so shiny and bouncy, so I will leave that to the adults on Vox.

P.S.: While I'm handing out invites: if anyone still doesn't have a gmail account and wishes to have on, I have about a bazillion gmail invites. Just tell me where to send them.
