The Sore Loser
We should have gotten a penalty for that italian using his hand! Then we would have won! The referee was from Mexico and he was totally punishing us for winning against Argentina! Because Mexico, Argentina, it's all the same! Victory was supposed to be ours! Unfair!
The Good Loser
Okay, the the Italians played better. Our defense had...weakness, to put it mildy. Ballack can't hit the goal if it's right in front oh him and who ever had the idea to let Borowski play should be, I don't know, made to wear the Italian flag whereever he goes during the next week. So yes, we deserved to lose. Still, it sucks.
The Political Loser
If ever a country should have won the world cup, it's Germany. This world cup, as silly as it sounds, seems to have united our nation in ways we've been missing before. All over the country people were celebrating, and not once did I read about the differences between east and west, or that the german citizens with turkish or polish or whatever else background didn't participate, or that anyone was fighting because of those other stupid thigns people seem to be fighting about the rest of the year. Sure, there were some excesses between so-called fans, but in general, the World Cup was incredibly well organized and a peaceful, LOUD celebration of life and sports and yes, nationality. For the first time in sixty years people dared to show that they were proud to support something german by showing the german flag, because what does a harmless world cup flag on a car have to do with nationalism anyway?
Right, nothing, and I think people understood that, I think people were expressing their happiness of being a part of this World Cup, showing the rest of the world that having an identity does not have to be a bad thing, that we have an identity as a country, and it's this happy, international, united thing. And that we drink a lot of beer.
For that alone we deserved to win. But we will really have won if we have learned something from this World Cup experience that will last despite of losing yesterday. Let's hope and see and do something to make it last.
The Not-Loser
Well, everyone said the team sucked anyway. We should be happy that we got as far as we did. And let's not forget that we played almost a full two hours against Italy without allowing them one goal. Getting that far is our victory.
The Female Loser
At least we will get to see more close-ups of the Italians with their shirts off, and let's be honest, they were a bit sexier than our team. And they speak italian! It's almost like singing!
*rolls r's*
*sings vowels*
*temptatively licks short-haired Totti*
