Three weeks ago I bought a DVD (Pandora's Clock with RDA) via ebay. One of these suspicious sellers in Hong Kong, who all swear that their DVDs are absolutely legal chinese "special editions".

My Life on Ebay )

I'm going to sleep now and decide tomorrow. I just came back from a party btw ( a really boring one), and one of the birthday presents was one of these books "All my friends", like we used to have them in school. The ones where you had to write down who your favourite teacher was etc. (does anyone know what I'm talking about?)
Everyone had to write into the book, so I outes myself as a Stargate and a Richard Dean Anderson fan, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has been to my house, but they didn't know and wouldn't believe me!
"You are really a Stargate fan? Really? Isn't that just for geeks?"
Weird people.
I also had to keep myself from writing 'SG, HL, SN, DS' etc as my favourite TV shows. Weird talking to people who don't understand fannish abbreviations.
Heh, maybe I should have written "badfic and fandom explosions" in the "Things I don't like" category. ;-)

It just occured to me that I never read a slash story where one of the characters doesn't like the taste of semen.

I had a very weird experience today. I wrote down my name, and I couldn't believe that this was my name!
It looked utterly strange and unfamiliar, as if it belonged to someone else.
Am I really the person with that name? What do people think when they meet me and hear my name?
A name is something so personal, and somehow it always says something about the person it belongs to. We are already prejudiced when we meet someone wiht a name we have heard before: we compare them to the other person we know with the same name, at least subconsciously.
My real name isn't very common, and I often meet people who don't know the name at all. I wonder what they think about me, judging me purely by my name. I wonder if my life had been different if I had had another name.
And why - all of a sudden - does my name feel strange to me? It's like I know that it is my name, but it still feels like it belongs to another person.
It's official, I'm losing my mind.

So I watched more Buffy )
