So I was watching CKR's "Forever Knight" episode, "Outside the Lines". I know nothing about Forever Knight, but it is highly amusing. There is this vampire who wants to be human. He looks a bit like a pig when he turns (not necessarily an ugly pig, but still. It's the mouth, I think. Or his inability to growl. ), and his vampire teeth look very, hmm, well, let's just say that Spike would laugh himself silly.

Then there's Beka. Now, Beka is the sexy gal from the "Hercules - A Hero in Space" show, otherwise known as Andromeda. She wears leather and sleeveless shirts a lot, carries big guns and is very very sexy. In "Forever Knight" however, she wears pink blouses (not good), and she is either slightly homophobic or just unbelievably innocent, or both (so not good). Compared to her, Kate is a slut, that's how innocent she is. (and wow, she is also incompetent)

Well, and then there is CKR. CKR, playing an undercover cop with a temper and a damn quick way of drawing his gun, a slightlydirty undercover cop. He wears a leather jacket and lots of jewellery, and he is probably the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I mean, Mark Harmon is sexy, and it amazes me again and again how incredibly goodlooking Michael Weatherly is. Don't get me started on RDA, because yeah, RDA. But Callum Keith Rennie, in roles like that?

Sexiest. Man. Alive.

(and now he is bleeding. Damn, I want the ugly cop to lick the blood off his face, just because it is so inviting. The way it runs down his cheek... *dreams*)

So[livejournal.com profile] taelonmahal was kind enough to send me a vid about one of these space shows were they wear pyjamas all day long and run around with weirdly blinking multi-purpose remote controls, what in my opinion is a rather complicated way to open doors.
I am ashamed to admit that I forgot which show this vid is about. Deep Space Nine, maybe?

In any case, it is hard not to see the attraction. That young guy with the big eyes, a doctor, it seems, has a crush on that alien with the weird rings around his eyes. And the alien is all over vhim, I bet he makes the nice doctor do naughty things with his doctor tools all the time. They were all over each other at breakfast, or whatever names they give their meals on those ships. I mean, if you are wearing pyjamas all the time, shouldn't all the meals be breakfast?

So yes, I see the slash. I am also squicked. Because inter-species sexual relationships that don't involve Chiana? So wrong.
I don't count Aeryn, because physically she looks the same, but the guy from the pyjama show? Ugh.
I have decided that just this once, it is okay for me to be a racist in this regard, because aliens are - as hard as it might be to believe - not real. And therefore, I do not have to want to read about them having sex. I wonder if that's why people don't write much Teal'c sex scenes. I don't really think of him as an alien, but if I had to read a Teal'c sex scene, it would inevitably come up. The subject of him being an alien, I mean. I feel sorry for Teal'c, but I'd rather not deal with it. I'd blissfully read Teal'c sex that ignores his pouch, empty or not. I am incredibly squicked by any story that includes that thing in the sex act.
*shudder*

This week is just full of sexual revelations for me. First no incest, now no alien sex. Except when it's Thor, of course. Heh.

[livejournal.com profile] taelonmahal? Thanks for the vid, I really liked it. Did you make it yourself?
I'm still trying to figure out the mystery of the whole Star Trek thing, and if I should give Enterprise or DS9 a chance.
DS9, because people keep telling me that it is really really good.
Enterprise because The Grrrl has written Enterprise fiction.

So I looked at show descriptions at Crack Van and TV Tome, and I can't help it: the whole setting seems so unsexy to me. Space ships, unless they are occupied by horny little Jaffa and their little Jaffa gods, or unless they are Moya, are so sterile.

And what's up with those suits? Enterprise is fine, but they seem to be wearing the pyjamas we know from The Next Generation in DS9.
Tell me, how do they have sex with these suits? If they want to have a quickie in the elevator, do they have to take the whole pyjama off or are there strategically placed zippers?
Cause in the few TNG episodes I've seen, I sure didn't see any sex zippers.
(is this where "insert slot a into tab b" comes from?)

After I heard quite a few people on my flist talk about Point Pleasant, I decided to download the pilot.

Overall, it was way too predictable. But there were some nice shots, like the sky before the rain, and I liked how they used the weather and the light to create the mood throughout the episode.
Plus, it's Richard Burgi. And the guy from Space, James Morrison.

It wasn't bad, so I'll download the second episode too, see where they are going with it.
