Weird things happen. Whenever I try to go to [livejournal.com profile] numb3rs_icons, I can't see pictures anymore.
And I mean any pics.
The community shows up fine, the icons on the first page show up fine. I try to open a post, and nothing happens. No graphics.
None.
And the worst thing is that afterwards I can't seen graphics anywhere anymore. Not on lj, not on ebay, not anywhere.
Then I close all my browser windows, and the problem is gone.
Until I visit [livejournal.com profile] numb3rs_icons again.

Can that really be possible or am I going crazy?
And how do they expect me to become a fangirl when I can't even get an icon?

It's a conspiracy.
Great. Now I'm going to have to search for Mulder. He's around here somewhere, last I saw him he was hiding under the bed.

I need to open ports to run bittorrent and emule.

Here we have pretty Michael Weatherly talking about NCIS, and here we have my plea for help:
[livejournal.com profile] enigel or other smart people on my flist? How do I download the vid?
*stares at source code some more*

Nope, I just can't figure it out.

Stupid question for the smart people on my flist:

I use Internet Explorer (I know). Usually, there's a area at the bottom of the window where you can see how much of the website has loaded, or, when you move you mouse over a link, where the link is going and such. It also shows if you are using a secure connection. Know what I mean?

Well, mine's gone.
I can't see it anymore.
And I'd really like it back.

Help?

And please don't tell me to use Firefox or something instead, it won't bring the thingy back.

So, let's say I have this .avi file of West Wing "We killed Yamamoto", and I'd like to cut out the shooting range scene, because Mark Harmon is so sexy it should be illegal, and CJ is the cutest thing ever.
What program do I need? Something very simple that even I can understand, please.

This is for the common good of course, since I'm doing this only to be able to share the scene with you guys.

Help would be very much appreciated.

I installed Bittorrent and I have download speeds of 100 kB/s +. Wow.
I think I'm going to move here permanently.
At this rate, it'll take not more than an hour or two to download the new CSI Miami and Atlantis.

Okay, my wonderful, geeky friends.
[livejournal.com profile] thegrrrl2002 linked to a Joe Flanigan audio interview.
Can someone tell me how to download it? I stared at the code for ten minutes now, and I'm still clueless.

All you smart, computer people out there:
Is there anyway I can download the blooper vid on this site to my computer?
I've been staring at the source code for the last ten minutes, and it doesn't tell me anything. And I can't watch it like that because my computer and the new realplayer version don't like each other.

Just so you know, I'm not keeping myself from working. I just...*seeks excuse*... Isn't computer stuff working too?

Anyway, I've got a question.
I usually download .avi files of the shows I watch, .avi-files with a divx codec. (you can tell that I have no idea what I'm talking about).
Is there an easy way to screencap them? I capped my SG DVDs with Power DVD, but when I try to play the .avi files, it won't work. I guess that is my fault, since other people seem to be capping with PowerDVD, so any help on how to solve that problem is very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Wonder where I am?
Well, the Sunday morning surprise was my monitor giving up on me. It refuses to work, and after a couple of subtle nudges ("Work, you damn thing!NOW! *hits monitor repeatedly*), it started to, uhm, smoke and smell.
Which left me with the unpleasant situation of running five programs on my computer (including Nero to burn your HL CDs, [livejournal.com profile] enigel, but no way to turn it off.

And since this is Germany, buying a new one on a Sunday is out of the question: every shop has closed, except for the gas stations, where you can get everything from cat litter to ravioli, but not monitors, as fara as I know.

My brother was so nice to lend me his, but only for the few minutes it will take me to type this entry, check my email and ebay and then shut down the PC.
So, I guess I'll have to find money somewhere to buy a new one.
Just what I needed this month.
