Opera, which has been my trusty companion since 2004, is driving m crazy. I'm sure it's only partly Opera's fault, but fact is that my computer crashes after a while of running Opera and that Opera, before the crashing happens, slowly gets slower and slower and my nerves get thinner and thinner. First question:
Does anyone else have this problem and knows what to do about it?
Since IE is of course not an alternative (there's a reason I changed to Opera), I installed Firefox. I hated Mozilla back in the days it was used at my University, but Firefox seems better, even though it looks a bit too large and bright and colorful. I have no doubts that this can be changed easily, but haven't looked into it yet. The thing is, I don't know anything about Firefox. I know that you can make it better with addons, but what are the addons I really need? For now, I just want the normal opera functions, meaning panels, speed dial, trash and download manager thingy. Trash seems to be "Chronik" (I have the German version, which might have been a mistake) and I haven't tried downloads yet, so there might be a download manager already. But what about the rest? What do I really need? Or rather, what do you think I won't be able to live without once I know it exists?
If Firefox develops the same problems as opera, it's back to Opera for me in a sec. I loved that browser. I think it might be a general computer problem rather than an Opera-specific one, because it slows down the whole computer. This could happen if I run other programs for such a long time, but I never do, except maybe divxplayer, but that's working fine. Hmm. On the other hand, I bought this computer three years ago, so byuing a new one now would actually be tax-deductible.

P.S.: I forgot the most important opera feature for me: it saves the tabs you had open and loads them automatically next time you start opera. How do I get Firefox to do that?
