I haven't come home before 10 p.m. once this week. No, wait, I haven't left the office before 10 p.m. once this week.
No wonder this journal is lacking any fannsih content recently, apart from the random OMG Jensen! Stop keeping me awake with your prettiness! entries!

So, here's your chance to get me back on the fannish track. If you want me to talk about fannish things, which, well, I refuse to believe that you are all here because of my really exciting real life...

Watched the Season 2 Eureka Pilot this morning.

( Yes, I watch TV for breakfast. So what? No spoilers for the episode, just general rambling about an underrated show. )

Wiseguy

margueritem asked me to post something fannish about
Wiseguy (the response to my request for fannish inspiration has been
overwhelming, really, with a whole three of you wanting me to talk
about fannish things! Now I wonder if the rest of you is really here
to here about my exciting real life or if you all want me to shut up,
but wait, no, don't spoil the mystery!
//sarcasm)

So, Wiseguy.
Wiseguy is a bad eighties show.

Wiseguy is LOVE.

The clothes! The hair! The overall eightiesness! I just love it!
I grew up in the eighties, I grew up with eighties TV. A-Team,
Remington Steele, Simon&Simon, Riptide, Hart to Hart are just a few of
the shows I watched and adored when I was a kid. (I'm not mentioning
Miami Vice, that's a league of its own, in the good and the bad). I
have no idea how I missed Wiseguy back then. Maybe it was never shown
on German TV?

The most wonderful margueritem pimped the show to me when
she visited me in (February I think it was), in any case when I was
still living in my old appartment with the most uncomfortable couches
ever invented by humankind. I watched all the episodes in one weekend.
On my laptop. On the most uncomfortable couch ever.
That's how much love Wiseguy is.

Of course, I have only seen the Sonny Steelgrave Arc, which probably
makes me like one of the Methos-eps-only-HL-fans, but trust me, it's
not for lack of wanting. But as there are no Wiseguy DvDs in Europe,
the US DVDs are expensive and would have to go through customs, which
means that I would never ever get them unless I take a day off of work
to pick them up at the customs office (plus, did I mention
expensive?), they have not been offered on ebay in the last three
months and they seem to be non-existent on the other legal and illegal
ways of obtaining episodes, that the internet usually so kindly
offers, I am at a loss.

I guess I'll just have to watch the first arc again, and then indulge
myself in fic and vids (which I haven't done yet, as I've watched the
show in my internetless time) until I can somehow get my fannish
little fingers on the remaining episodes.

Conclusion:
Wiseguy is love.
