NCIS: Ziva who?

Every week now after watching NCIS, I type up the "100 Reasons To Hate Ziva" essay. I never posted it, of course, because it's negative and I love NCIS, so there is no reason to talk about its one flaw. But we have reached episode number seven, and I really can't hold it back any longer:

I HATE ZIVA.

She bores me to death with her superwoman, not afraid of anything, perfect mary-sue "personality". I have never seen a more one-dimensional, unimaginative, unlikeable character. Veronica Mars is flawed against her. The Cigarette Smoking Man is more likeable.

Now that this is done, I'll try to fill this post with positivity, so I give you:

Three Good Reasons To Keep Ziva Around (according to Gibbs)

1. She frustrates Tony because he can't get to her with his flirting, so he needs something to take his mind off of her when he comes home. Gibbs is more than happy to be that something.


2. Gibbs doesn't have to worry that Tony would betray him with Ziva. Even if she pretends to be superwoman, Tony only needs one superhero in his life, and the position is currently held by Gibbs.
   Though Ziva does look better in tighs.


3. Ziva and Jen's relationship is obviously more than professional. This will not only keep the director off of Gibbs, it also gives him something to pressure her with if she finds out about him and Tony.

1. She frustrates him because he can't get to her with his flirting, so he needs something to take his mind off of her when he comes home. Gibbs is more than happy to be that something.


2. He doesn't have to worry about Ziva and Gibbs, because Gibbs obviously finds her annoying.


3. Ziva and Jen's relationship is obviously more than professional. This will not only keep the director off of Gibbs, it also gives him something to pressure her with if she finds out about him and Gibbs

1. She frustrates Tony because he can't get to her with his flirting, so he needs something to take his mind off of her when he comes home. Gibbs is more than happy to be that something, and it is in everyone's best interest to keep Gibbs happy.


2. He is not the probie anymore. Now he just needs to find a way to make Tony realize this.


3. Abby doesn't like her, so it's mostly McGee who gets send to the lab.

Bones 1x04

"Bones" is starting to amuse me. Not Bones herself so much, but the rest of the team, especially DB. I decided that I don't have to like her in order to like the show. I'm not sure if I'm even supposed to like her. I'd trade her for Ziva though, anytime. It didn't hurt that the case was interesting for once.

I admit that while I liked Angel, I never thought he was a particularly good actor. He could do Angel as long as all he did was a) nail puppies to doors, torture and black leather, or b) look tortured, unhappy and wear black. Then the whole baby things happened, which lead to smiling Angel, and I hated it. He just couldn't pull off smiling Angel for me.

So I was more than skeptical to see him in this role, but he is great! That last scene, with the eggs, or the scene in the bar. And who else could say "I went down there to shoot somebody through the heart from 1500 feet." like that? Well, Gibbs, obviously. Oh, shut up. Still, he shouldn't be handing out guns to Bones. I don't think she is mentally stable enough to carry a gun. Or even look at it. I wonder how he manages to have UST with her. She doesn't seem capable of having UST with anyone. Though maybe, she just does clueless very well.

Also loved the "Clash of the horny titans" comment, and yes, I'm actually looking forward to next week's ep.

Christmas Cards

I don't think I'll be able to send christmas cards this year, so I won't ask for your addresses, and I haven't signed up for anyone else's cards either. It seems only fair not to ask for them if I won't write any in return.

However, boniblithe is organising a fantabulous fandom holiday card exchange, which I just signed up for. This, of course, will be more fun the more people there are, so I suggest you all sign up as well. Besides, how will I get my Tony card if no NCIS fans sign up?
