More Firefly Observations

Have reached episode 5. Boy, people sure get hurt a lot, don't they?

Okay, you people were right, this is rather addictive. It's ridiculously easy to like these people. Except for Mal, who works very hard on being unlikeable, which of course, makes him even more likeable.

I don't see where they are going with their relationships yet. Mal seems to be doomed to never have sex ever: he is too focused on being the Captain to have any kind of UST that I could see.
I guess he's supposed to have UST with Inara, but at the moment all I get from them is a brother/sister kind of thing.

Inara on the other hand had has UST all by herself. I thought I was going to hate her at first, but she is very sexy, and not at all what I expected her to be.

Kaylee likes Simon, but that's only because she likes pretty things, like that awful pink dress. Okay, so she doesn't have good taste in dresses, but her taste in men is fine.

It's a shame that Simon is doing the nasty with Jayne, they would have been cute together (in a disgustingly sweet way, of course, so let's forget about that)

I was deeply scared of River in the beginning, thinking that she'd be the perfect match for Stark, but she, too, is oddly likeable. She makes people want to protectt her, give her everything she could want. I'll definitely have to watch out for River fic, but not before I've seen all the eps.
