I know, everybody is getting Hobbes, but I think it fits. I often have the suspicion that I am not really alive, but merely the product of someone else's fantasy. I think someone invented me once, but then lost interested and decided to just send me off to University. Like the one doll you had as a child that you never knew what to do with, so she just sat in the corner, and if someone asked, you would just say: "Oh, she? She is studying."
I'd rather be Calvin's doll. Granted, he would probably pull my hair and try to send me to Mars on a self-built rocket, and I would have to get saved by Susie and endure endless tea-parties, but it has to be better than my current non-life.
