And the obligatory 2003 meme...

1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
*thinks*
Oh, write LJ!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
The only new years' resolution I had is "eat less, lose weight", and that is pretty much an everyday resolution, which I never keep.

5. What countries did you visit?
None. I think this is the first year ever when I didn't leave the country. though I might have been to the Netherlands a couple of times, I don't remember.

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
A relationship that makes me happy. A region-free DVD player that alos plays .avi and mpeg-files. Or a relationship with such a DVD player.

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
June 21st, because it was the day the new Harry Potter was released, and also the day before my boyfriend broke up with me after more than 6 years.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Graduating from University.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not breaking up with my boyfriend before he did, and not getting a better grade in my exams. Though at the moment, the exams are what bugs me more. Who cares about ex-boyfriends anyway.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
A few colds, but nothing more. And they took out my wisdom teeth. I don't know if that counts because it was kind of voluntary, but I should felt harooible afterwards.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Stargate DVD box sets, a laptop and a highspeed internet connection.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Fannish things, CDs, coffee. I made Ebay and Amazon very happy this year.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? The hew Harry Potter! I din't want to get excited about it, but I couldn't escape. I also got unreasonably excited about Stargate season 7 episodes, the ones that [livejournal.com profile] lerefuge so kindly provided, and the ones that I downloaded with my new internet connection.
Now that I think about it, I also got very excited about actually being able to download things from the internet. The first week, I woke up at night and went to my computer to see if Bittorrent had finished a download. Green is my very new favourite colour! ;-)

16. What song will always remind you of 2003? None. I didn't go to any memorable parties this year, nor had I rendezvous's worth mentioning, and since I don't watch Tv and don't listen to the radio, I have no idea which songs were in the charts this year. I discovered Loreena McKennitt and Eva Cassidy this year, which made me very happy, but I doubt I will connect their music with the year 2003.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder?
Both.
Older or wiser? I know more than last year, but I wouldn't say that I'm wiser. and etting older is kind of unavoidable.
Thinner or fatter? Fatter.
Richer or poorer? Richer. Not as poor as last year.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Eating, smoking, fighting with the ex, fighting with parents...

22. Did you fall in love in 2003? Unless you count fictional characters: no.

23. How many one-night stands? None.

24. What was your favorite TV program? Stargate SG-1. But I don't really watch in on TV. German dubbing,*shudder*.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No. I don't really hate people. Most people who give me a reson to hate them are so un-important that I can't even find the energy to hate them. I just erase them from my life.

26. What was the best book you read? Harry Potter V. *g*

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Eva Cassidy and LoreenaMcKennitt. I know, I'm always late for the party.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? LotR, not surprisingly.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
25. Had brunch with the girls and was drunk on prosecco by 1 o'clock. Went out for coffee and hsopping in the afternoon. I can't remember the evening, which just proves how pathetic my life really is.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? A better grade in my exam. Jack and Daniel in a box.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
Jeans, tops, high heels. if you want to call that a concept, go ahead.

34. What kept you sane? Who says I'm sane?

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Richard Dean Anderson. Michael Shanks. Richard Burgi. Callum Keith Rennie. Paul Gross. Sting. Peter Wingfield. Let's face it, I'm a slut.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Hm. I didn't really meet anyone interesting this year, at least not in real life. But I came to see my brother in a whole new light, and that made me very happy.
And of course all the wonderul people I "met" through LJ!*hugs you all*

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"She's nobody's girl
She walks this road alone (nobody's girl)
She calls her soul her own (nobody's girl)
She knows she's on her own in this world
She's nobody's girl."
(Michelle Wright - Nobody's Girl)

Wow, that was a depressing meme. I didn't realise I had such a boring year! Great year in fannish things, but my real life sucks.
But I always have the excuse that I had to study a lot for University, right?
