I finally updated [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs. 20 new (old) recommendations, mostly Stargate and NCIS, a couple X-Files (Doggett!) and SGA. All tagged and memorized for your reading pleasure, enjoy!

Now I will go outside, do some shopping and enjoy the sun, and when I come back, I intend to watch some vids, maybe do a vid recs update next time. If you have any special requests for vid recs (fandom, music etc.), let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

Updated [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs for the first time in three weeks. Nothing too new, you know me, but older stories need reccing to, right?

In an exciting turn of events, I cancelled the party I was invited to last night, stayed in and read slash. Thus, I bring you 16 new recs at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs. Old stuff, mostly, because I really haven't had time to read and rec in way too long.

Now I'll study some more (the reason why I'm only barely alive), and tomorrow I have a date (no, not a real one) to see Serenity. Yay, finally!

There was something else I was going to say, but I forgot. I miss LJ-ing like a crazy. There are all these posts in my head that will remain unwritten, like my thoughts on the new SGA episodes or the hotness that is James Spader (watched "The White Palace" last week), or that I have finally, as the last person on earth, started to watch X-Files season 8, and marveled at how wonderfully they introduced Doggett, whom I just can't hate now, and why did I ever stop watching after season 7?

But I force myself to stay away and study. Four weeks till the exams, and I'm trying so hard not to panic that it's hard to do anything else.

Also, lj is still not sending me all my comments, so if you have posted something a reply to something I have said and feel ignored because of my lack of response, it's all lj's fault.

Ten new recs at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs. There's Stargate, NCIS and huh, a Firefly rec? How did that happen? A rather embarassing amount of het, I'm afraid. What can I do when it's all so good and hot?

Also, next time when i don't update my recs for nearly a month, someone please kick me in the head. I can't afford to be this lazy. ;-)

Ten new recs at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs. I hope I'll have some more this weekend. SGA and NCIS. Yes, I really found NCIS fics that were good enough to rec. And it's neither mpreg nor Mary Sue!

Fifteen new recs up at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs, SGA, SG, one Numb3rs and finally some NCIS recs.

I spent the rest of the afternoon watching Angel, especially episode 5x12 spoilers ) That's all.

Ten J/D ficathon recs are up at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs, complete with new layout.

Now send me to those Dr. Who archives, and I'll fight my way through that fic for you. Please?

Edited: There are now more than 300 recs at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs in 24 fandoms. More than half of them are Stargate recs, so the next one who complains that there is nothing good to read gets hit over the head with my harddrive, heavy from more than twice that amount of great fic, which I'd all rec, if I could only get organized. Just saying.

Yes, another week, another set of recs at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs.
17 new recs this time, Stargate, Stargate Atlantis, Highlander, a NCIS/SG crossover (to lure the SG writers to the pretty and gay fandom of NCIS) and the best Farscape vid ever.
Enjoy!

Recs update at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs!
I'd say "weekly" update, but as soon as I write that, I won't update anymore for at least a month. So it' s just an update, and there'll most probably more next week.

This time, there are 17 news recs, Stargate and Stargate Atlantis, by all your usual suspects: Paian, The Grrrl, Tafkar, Katie M., Kageygirl, Torch, Chelle, Merry, Shalott, Danvers, Salieri and Brighid.

Have fun!

P.S.: You can still ask me things.

16 new recs up at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs, all Stargate, gen and slash. This time there's Katie M., Brighid, Affinity, Destina, The Grrrl, Elly, Tallulah Rasa, Cori Lannam, Cofax, Scrollgirl, Salieri and SEF.

I know, I'm getting boring, reccing the same people again and again. But it isn't my fault that their fics are so good.
Enjoy!

We are getting closer to the Atlantis recs, btw, so stay tuned.

More recs are up at. [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs.
This time we have Wisdom Eagle (Mpreg! *bounces*), Otter, The Grrrl, Tafkar, Salieri, Danvers, Sealie, Destina, Martha, Katie M., cgb, Mara Celes, more Tafkar, Brighid, Elly, Greensilver, and - what do you know - more The Grrrl.

Twenty Stargate recs, none of them brand new, but all very much worth reading. IMHO.

Again, I apologize for the lack of proper feedback, but there just isn't any time. LJ shouldn't sell extra user pics, they should sell extra hours for my days.

As promised, the first fifteen new recs are up on [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs.
All SG (and one SGA vid rec), slash, gen, even het.
For today, we have Salieri, Tafkar, Tripoli, Katie M., Lasair, Nostalgia, Komos, Otter, Danvers, Dirty Diana and Cofax. Sorry for not giving proper feedback, there just wasn't time. I hope you'll see the recs as as a sign of how much I loved the fic?

Recs are mostly in the order I've written them, which was influenced by how I've read them, which was influenced entirely by chance.

Did I mention what a great time I had reading through all those fics in the past weeks? The only thing that kept me from going insane.

More to come tomorrow.

You can all go and read [livejournal.com profile] viggorlijah's Parallel Connections Over Symmetric Spaces now.
Don/Charlie slash, and I know it's wrong, but so are they, and the fic is just amazing.

Squeee!
[livejournal.com profile] blueraccoon wrote smut for me!
Tony/Abby it is, originally written in lj comments, but you can now find the cleaned up version of "Next Morning" here.
Go read and tell her how much you loved it.
Tony! Abby! I know, it's het, but it's so hot! You know you want to read about Tony having sex, don't you?

Yesterdays crisis about losing my independence to some gun-carrying, overly protective AlphaMale (both of them way to old for me, btw. Not that I'd mind.), has got me thinking about the men in my life.
Hmm.

I might have to post about that some day. Not today though, because my Dark Angel Season 2 DVDs arrived, and I have an important exam coming up.
Hmm, should I study or should I watch how Logan and Max desperately want each other, until it tears them apart. Maybe they finally get together in the second season?
Must find out.
It's so nice to be totally unspoiled for a whole show. :-)

Meanwhile, those of you who are already interested in NCIS, and those of you who haven't succumbed to my shameless pimping attempts yet (sooner or later I will get you), head over to [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs, where I got two very good NCIS recs.
Both of them about Kate, both of them implied het.
But you'll want to read them anyway, because they are really, really good.

We've reached the letter "R". R like "Recommendations.
(why yes, i'm going backwards, I know that "S" is actually after "R" in the alphabet."

So here are links to recommendation sites I visit more or less regularly. )

*wipes sweat from forehead*
This is more work than I thought. I think I need some food and some NCIS now. Ah, yes, episode 2 is calling me. ;-)

I was just about to complain that it has been ages since Area52 got last updated, and tada!, it got updated.
*Skims through list of new stories*

Hm,. nothing too exciting, except for the stories I already knew.
Let's see, what do we have here...
There is [livejournal.com profile] raqs's lovely Jack/Daniel/Sam threesome, "Whatever you wish for"

Also, a new story by Kalimyre, which I haven't read yet, but I think i liked some of her other stories, so I'll try this one as well. Oh, it's long, good.

Hm, what else do I see? Oh, a fic that uses letters to tell its story. Letters by people called Daphne and Lyssa. Well, I know what I am NOT going to read. Hm, I'll try that Kalimyre fic now. I almost hope that it isn't good, because I'm so damned tired.
Early doctor's appointment tomorrow mornign. Urgh. Hate that.

One week of daily recommendations at [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs. Yay me!
Let's hope I can keep it up. My new trick is to use a recs journal ( a real one, made from paper *g*), so I can write down the things I want to rec right away. So far it works, and if it doesn't, well, it's a pretty Edward Hopper journal, so at least there are nice pics to look at. ;-)

I also changed [livejournal.com profile] oceanas_recs style again, to the new style "Variable Flow". It is supposed to be very easy to customize, and I even found little boxes which will let you upload a background picture. Now I just have to find some nice pic.

I have tons of lj comments in my inbox that I want to answer, but I can't, because I'm supposed to be writing applications right now. Grr, I hate applications. Can't I just go and talk to the people? Who reads these stupid letters anyway?
*sigh*

Guess it has to be done, so off I go.

Yes, it's that time of the month again:

[livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec

is looking for new reccers.
[livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec is this wonderful equal opportunity recs community maintained by [livejournal.com profile] jadespencer,[livejournal.com profile] adinajo and [livejournal.com profile] angelsgracie. They created a place where you can rec every genre, every pairing, every character - no prejudices, no hate.

Don't have time?
That's no excuse. One rec per week, for one month. That's four recs. I'm sure that not too much to ask, and they won't bite your head off of you rec only three. Three is better than none, right? And after that month, you can quit! But you won't because you'll see that it's fun, so you'll go on and on and on reccing stuff, just like me.
So far I've done Jack/Daniel, Jack and Sam.

Go here, and see which rec categories are already taken.
Then go here and chose one you want to rec in.

Lots of pairings are still open, and I have abandoned my category from last month, Jack, to rec humor in September. So if anyone wants to rec Jack... (pretty, sexy Jack, with his hands and his sarcasm and his never-ending, desperate love for Daniel. Come on, you know you want to)

Go rec some fun stuff.
Remember, no matter how well-known you think the story is, there are always people who haven't read it yet.
