Ever since I got my gmail account, it is driving me crazy. Don't get me wrong, I really like it. I like the layout, it is fast, it updates automatically.
I even like the personalized advertising, which -if you haven't noticed - consists of links next to the email which have some relation to the email's content. I tis very entertaining to find out why they give you which link, and -since I only use gmail for my lists - I get very interesting links. Slash is all about the sex. *g*
Anyway, there is one thing I hate. Gmail doesn't have folders. It has this label thingy, which I can't figure out. When i create a filter to label my lj-comments, gmail automatically puts them together in one email. Then it says, for example "enigel(4)", which means there are 4 comments. If they were all for one post, i wouldn't mind, but they aren't, they have nothing to with each other, and they aren't even all from enigel.
I find that very annoying.
So, I tried out SpyMac. Same offer as gmail only with a more classical layout. Since I had never heard of it before, I tried it with some HP slash lists that had to much traffic for my hotmail account, which is why I was on no mail. So far, no digest has made it through to my spymac account.
I have a yahoo account, now that they have those lovely 100MB, which should be enough for most sane persons (who needs 1 GB anyway?), but I don't like they way it looks. Too big, and the emails look strange. Nice thing though is, that you can open the links directly. Hotmail won't let you do that, I always have to copy paste, but I got used to it, and I really like the hotmail layout.
So, what do I get in my inbox today? Hotmail expands their services. 250MB and attachements up to 10 MB. For free!
Yay me! I can keep my Evil_LittleKitten account! I alredy moved the lj comments back there, where they are sorted into the lj comment folder, just the way it should be. And now, with the 250 MB, I'll sort all my list mail too, little Stargate and Highlander folders, where the emails go all by themselves, without strange labels that I can never figure out.
