I woke up at 2.47 a.m. this morning, because the dog was barking and grownling as if a whole legion of burglars had just entered the house. Though if they had, I couldn't hear them in all the noise the dog was making.
I didn't dare to go downstairs, so I just waited a while for the dog to calm down, and, still not hearing any burglars, went back to bed. Wide-awake, of course, cause that's what waking up in the middle of the night will make me.
Now it's 8 a.m. and the dog is doing it again. I'm punishing him by updating my LJ before I go downstairs to see him. It's not like there's anything wrong with him, he is just bored. It used to be like that all the time, he would come up to my room at 7 a.m. and wake me up, just to be entertained. At least then I could go back to bed and have him curl up at my feet, which seems to be enough entertainment for dogs at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning, but after the surgery he isn't allowed to take the stairs.
Guess I'll have to go downstairs after all.

Things to do today:
- watch more West Wing
- read Sports Night slash
- clean the kitchen
- rec something at [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec
- go shopping to prepare food for Sunday, when parents come and expect to eat.
- change all the locks, so parents can't come inside, then order pizza

Hm. I think I'll start with some West Wing for breakfast.*g*

It's so nice to be at home again, with my TV and my kitchen. I actually love cooking. We'll have beef strips fried in the wok with red peppers, sugar peas, leek and a peanut butter sauce. :-)
