If I had to eat one sort of cheese for the rest of my life, it'd be Gorgonzola.

I'm a geek. I have tons of fanfic saved on my HD, and all sorted into folders by fandom. And I have other folders within the different fandoms marked "read" and "unread", and notes on the stories I did read and decided to keep. Because, as I said, I'm a geek, and also there is so much fanfic saved on my HD that it would be impossible to find anything without some sort of index.
So, when I decide to read something, all I have to do is decide which fandom want to read in and if I want something new or something I 've read before. So far so good. But lately, all I read is Highlander fiction!

I turn on the laptop, determined to finally read some West Wing fic/catch up on Due South/ spend some quality time with Jack and Daniel, and I end up reading Duncan/Methos slash. As soon as I see the Highlander folder I'm gone.
I can't resist.

Duncan looks at me with his puppy dog eyes and his BODY, and if that's not enough he makes movements with his SWORD, and smiles that smile that lights up his whole face, and I come running. Methos smirks and says cheesy things like: "So, Highlander, ever fucked a guy? Want to try?" and I'll read it! Again and again and again!

And on those rare days, when I'm really convinced that I've read it all, and the amount of bad first times between really old guys you can read is limited in the first place, they bring in Kronos, all dressed up in leather and strategically placed bows, shove him right in front of my feet, "here, have fun with him, we'll be on the barge having some more sex and sword fights", and what can I do? I can't just let Kronos sit there, with his leather and sword and his madness. Of course I have to read about him.
It's so sad.

I'm never going to read in another fandom again. They won't let me, and I can't resist.
I'm weak.
In the Fifth Race, Jack builds this thing, that - as we have learned now - was some kind of ZPM, in order to reach the Asgard world.
He used only stuff he found on base, one of the parts came from a staff weapon I believe. And we never managed to rebuild it? Was it destroyed, so that they couldn't reconstruct it, or are they just really dumb? It would have come in handy in Atlantis.
Some times ago, there was a meme where people chose there favourite episodes of every season. As usual, it took me a little longer to decide, and it involved a lot of explaining, too much to do all seasons in one essay.
[livejournal.com profile] enigel reminded me that I still owe you guys my favourites of season 4, 5, 6 and 7, so here we go:

Stargate Season 4 Favourites )

That's it, all I have to say about season 4. See, that wasn't so hard, was it? If you made it till here and still don't have enough, read about my favourite episodes of season 1,2 and 3.
Or stay here and tell my what you think. :-)

(Screencap is one of the 1000x caps I took of that ep,, which [livejournal.com profile] lerefuge put up into a beautiful website as part of the Frozen Network, here.)
